Interessanter Einblick. Bei mir war es mehr oder weniger umgekehrt.

Meine jüngere Schwester hat damals eine Zahnspange bekommen und ich sollte dann auch mal mit zum Kieferorthopäden, weil meine Zähne auch relativ schief sind… zu kleiner Kiefer halt. Die Atmosphäre dort war aber bereits im Wartezimmer so eigenartig, dass ich keinen Bock da drauf hatte. Eigentlich hatte ich nur keinen Bock darauf dort eine zu bekommen, aber das konnte ich nicht richtig artikulieren. Im Endeffekt hab ich auch nie eine gehabt, wünsche mir nun aber, wo es um einiges teurer ist das damals gemacht zu haben.

Wenn ich eins gelernt hab, dass es völlig egal wo du dich aufhält, in welcher Szene du unterwegs bist… Es gibt immer ein paar Idioten dabei.

Und immer schön das Licht an und die Fenster auf lassen, damit wirklich jeder alles mitbekommt. Man hat ja nix zu verbergen.

Makes sense. In this analogy as well as irl the platform is missing, I think. Youtube / Google wants to make money as well as news media so both let it happen willingly or push it even further. I think journalists should be better than this. Before the Internet no one (or at least no one beyond a very local level) did care about the maniac yapping some random nonsense at the town square. Now those maniacs are news all around the globe. I’m not even from NA but there’s so many news (and I might be biased because I often scroll through c/all) about US politics. Not that it would be much better here. People should really know when not to adapt something from the US.
