Canada@lemmy.ca•Eby calls reported meeting between Alberta separatists and U.S. official ‘treason’
216·5 days agoGotta love the absolute animosity with internet warriors. How about understanding the issues that people across Canada have due to their individual provincial stupidity. Living in quebec is one of, if not the worst of the provinces, due to ridiculous and unnecessary problems, like a language police, or the countries highest tax rates and even better yet the constant threat of speration, which I might add, hurt Quebecs industrial sector in irreversible ways. When it had its last referendum, a large portion of business left for ontario and other provinces. As a province with a massive abundance of natural resources available, it is a huge problem for the people who live there because quebec can’t defend them selves and would be invaded. If your first conclusion is that people are Maga or left, you should probably take a minute before responding. Political affiliation isn’t the question, the well-being of the people living there is.

Canada@lemmy.ca•Eby calls reported meeting between Alberta separatists and U.S. official ‘treason’
347·5 days agoSo if speration, or talking about it is treason, why isn’t quebec talked about? Two failed referendums and a possible third on the way, and it’s nothing but crickets… also, if it did happen, who do you honestly think quebec would buddy up to to get security?
Late to the party, probably never see this, but I’d call it the Honda Oddity.
Also, costco sells extra thick and gooey chocolate chip cookies, too.
I want the one with the machine gun.
Stand by your choice and sell, but it has nothing to do with that. It’s identity politics. Also, there are plenty of toyotas made in Canada if that person was actually that true to it and not looking for clout.
Lol, that highlander is most likely built in Indiana.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Only 7% of Americans Want Their Next Car to Be Electric, Survey Finds
1·24 days agoMy mistake, I didn’t know he meant used. Working in the car industry and leasing an ev. They are the last kind of car I’d buy outright. The problem is that he is trying to sell a reasonably new car for about 12500 cad when the same year camry is in 18-22k. My experience for that is because by the time you go to sell a used ev, you can get a new one for not much more and get the better range, newer battery, and full warranty. That being said, I do desperately wish that the corrupt government would let in other brands, but that’ll never happen. It’s protectionism.
