I’m an autistic and ADHD geek. I’m also an aspiring Linux sysadmin. I love Warframe, The Witcher, forest and ocean facts, cats, and tech. I’m always looking to learn new things. I live by a rule of ‘live and let live’, except when someone is hurting or trying to force their way of life onto others.

I don’t even need to throw rocks, Microsoft will drive you out trying to force you into letting copilot think for you.
Good! It would help prevent flies, which are worse.
I find it useful for learning once you get the fundamentals down. I do it by trying to find all the bugs in the generated code, then see what could be cut out or restructured. It really gives more insight into how things actually work than just regular coding alone.
This isn’t as useful for coding actual programs though, since it would just take more time than necessary.
cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What were you surprised to learn wasn't actually normal?English1·2 months agoStanding in the corner doing nothing probably won’t work well, but sitting in a chair with a book and an expectation to talk about it after might. Giving them stim toys like fidget spinners could also work. The idea is you want them to calm down.
cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What were you surprised to learn wasn't actually normal?English1·2 months agoI think they meant standing in the corner or sitting in a chair for the duration of the timeout

cyberfae@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Target can’t get its footing after its DEI program demise and a 40-day boycott against the retailer. Foot traffic at stores is down for the eighth consecutive weekEnglish1·2 months agoI think it’s likely both. People are broke and spend less, and what they do spend is at a company that they feel hasn’t sold them out. I can’t tell which one is having the bigger impact though. The data on the subject should be interesting either way.

cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•ICE Wants to Know If You’re Posting Negative Things About It OnlineEnglish6·4 months agoScanning this thread though, I was kinda hoping there would be one single “Fuck ICE” comment amongst the rest, that was randomly downvoted to oblivion for no apparent reason.
Why???

cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•TIL it's impossible to delete a free trial account for AppleTv+ or Apple Music without an Apple DeviceEnglish8·5 months agoIt’s pretty common for free trials to require a credit/debit card to automatically charge you once it’s time to renew. Normally you should be able to cancel it before the charge or get a refund shortly after, but some companies don’t make this an easy process.
cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•From showers to tiny fish to windmills, Trump’s climate policies are driven by fixations | ‘It was striking that the White House memo included toilets and shower heads as a presidential priority’English1·5 months agoIf your shower’s dripping and it takes 15 times to fully flush the toilet, then chances are it’s either an issue with the cities water pressure, or something wrong with the pipes in the home. The appliances themselves shouldn’t cause this outside of severe damage or defects. Not that Trump cares, if he can even tell the difference to begin with.
cyberfae@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•TIL it's impossible to delete a free trial account for AppleTv+ or Apple Music without an Apple DeviceEnglish35·5 months agoMaybe you can contact your bank and explain what’s going on, and ask that they cancel the charge. This might cause your apple account to be banned though, but I’m not 100% sure.

cyberfae@lemmy.worldto World News@quokk.au•Yoon's team claims immunity from insurrection charges, citing Trump rulingEnglish63·5 months agoI’m confused. Why would a ruling in the US have any bearing on whether or not a South Korean president gets impeached or not? Last I checked, they’re two separate countries with their own constitutions and justice systems.
I’m currently using the handheld edition on my steam deck and I like it much better than steam os. Mainly it’s because I can actually use the aur and not rely on flatpack. It also doesn’t override my tweaks when the os updates.
That’s fair, I wouldn’t have eaten it either. I was just curious if it actually worked or not.
