The Panzer Dragoon series. Just such a unique and compelling world and aesthetic, and Panzer Dragoon Saga remains one of the best RPGs ever made, even if the visuals have aged badly in some areas.

I’m one of those people who actually rather liked the Jaguar controller. I have massive hands and it was actually pretty ergonomic for me.
1·5 months agoAgreed. The 2.4Ghz version of the M30 and the Neo Geo CD pad in particular are excellent.

I think this is a tie between Bloodborne and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Absolute masterpieces, both. I replay both of them at least once a year, but it would be wonderful to go back in fresh.
32·8 months agoIt involves spending money, but I wonder whether a Synology NAS might suit you rather well? Synology Drive, Synology Photos et al make a pretty respectable replacement for the Googles.

I use a TS100 USB-powered iron. It’s fine for the relatively light soldering jobs I generally do.
2·10 months agoBy comparison, I live in a small town in rural south east England. I could choose from any one of at least 12 different ISPs, all of whom offer gigabit fibre. And we’re relatively backward compared to mainland Europe.
Good grief. How depressing.
Never ceases to amaze me just how awful US ISPs are. Why do they get to behave like this? Are they local monopolies or something?

I remember it being very, very pretty. Think I played it a bit on PSX, but a whole bunch more on Dreamcast.

I’ve been using (and paying for) Bitwarden for a few years now. There are slicker solutions but it does the job for me and I don’t really see any need to change.
1·1 year agoI doubt we’ll see ads in the form we know them from places like Twitter and Reddit. We may start seeing instances being sponsored by (or even operated by) businesses, and people can federate with them or not as they choose.
I also think paid subs will be a growth area and honestly this is the model I’d be most comfortable with, although I acknowledge the risk of excluding people who don’t have disposable money to spend on such things.
ActivityPub is a W3C standard. I’m not sure how one can be “in talks” with a standard.
You wouldn’t believe the amount of legal ink that has been spilled trying to work out what the fuck the Do What The Fuck You Want To licence actually means, legally.
