@Chewy7324 Hmmm… never seen any point to window managers since mid-2000s. I get the idea of them, but I just can’t think of any pragmatic reason why one would want to use a wm over a DE. If “weight” is the issue, I would use LXQT or XFCE. I tried i3 a couple of years back . Gave up after a few months. It has always seemed like a retro obsession to me personally.

@Chewy7324 I’m sorry but I don’t give two shits about Hyprland. I am happy enough with X11, though I wouldn’t mind Wayland once I switch to all AMD. But hyprland is a strict no. Until their entire team publicly apologise for being pathetic juvenile delinquents masquerading as adults, I ain’t touching their shit.

@Chewy7324 I do like Wayland’s gesture friendliness on touchpads. But at the moment Nvidia is still an issue for me. Xwayland has never worked for me in terms of gaming. I am sure I am doing something wrong. But I have so little time to game these days that I don’t feel like wasting time trying to configure xwayland.
