@JimsPhotos Saw som tree sparrows today and were reminded of your photo.
This is not super sharp but maybe good enough for a comparision. Beak is definitely lighter and it has a yellow base.

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Exactly! So cool!
@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Wow, looks like another bird!

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social They are just variation of color. And if understood correctly the color variations are common in Sweden and Germany? But I’m no expert either.
Here’s a link (in Swedish) to an image of the white variation.

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social They are so cool!
But I find them hard to id sometimes since there are so many variations.
Saw my first ”börringevråk”, the white variation, this winter and I was shocked. It looked like a completely different bird.

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social That’s really cool!

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Oh right! Makes sense!
Is it a portable one or a permanent?

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Wow! So close! Didn’t it notice you?
@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Interesting! Tree sparrows around where I live have a beak that’s more on the gray side. But this looks black to me.
And now I need to photograph one around here so I can do a proper comparison.
@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Why is the beak so dark? Is that the local variety?

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social Good choice of favourite bird!

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social So cute! I can imagine the noise!
@JimsPhotos I like it sharp though. At least when it’s a photo were I’m trying to see the birds features. Maybe this is due to my own vision being blurry so if the photo is also blurry it gets double-blurred? 😅
Anyway I think the variety among treesparrows are really interesting!
