rust itself is quite good, licensing is a separate matter. its pretty trivial to make very snappy and efficient programs in rust due to how memory is handled. its generally also more secure, because again, the memory management is superb.
i love devving on rust its great. some orgs are ran by idiots that dont know much about licensing and dont do copyleft unfortunately
it really depends what you prefer imo. personally i like kde more than gnome (mostly cause its more like windows by default) but a ton of apps use gnome’s rendering software for themeing. i also tend to prefer kde’s suite of apps (krita my beloved). i think cosmic from popos will be the next big thing but its not fully cooked yet
fully recommending bazzite too, if you hate it its easy to rebase to other bootc distros without data loss (still backing things up is a good idea regardless)
bazzite is just a braindead distro, its so hard for the user to mess it up and it has a lot of useful scripts in it. also a lot of the devs are queer and they just purged a maintainer that said some transphobic shit

Yeah I did mini-itx, its a pain in the ass to clean but its nice being able to pick it up easily. If you want to be able to clean it easier I think m-atx is the way to go. There are some affordable all metal cases which imo are the way to go so you dont have to buy more cases ever, coolermaster makes the best ones (nr200p gang). Never buy a glass sided one
Love bazzite, I’m on fairly new hardware and have had zero issues for two major version upgrades. Lots of linux distros poop themselves after some time, really impressed with the immutables.
Funniest thing for me was installing arch and it breaking 3 weeks later with me doing nothing but upgrades

Womens clothing seems to be still too short so not good for tall people, but for plain androgynous 100% cotton socks this should work. Some of these things also have organic elastic (which uses natural rubber, not petro rubber). I’m quite sure the dyes they’re using aren’t petro dyes but to be 100% certain just go with the natural color. There are lots of amazon stores that advertise theyre 100% cotton but they are blatantly lying you can tell the sock tops contain elastic.
Socks are borderline impossible to find without plastic honestly without something like wool. You can get pretty low plastic content socks though from places like sockdreams, like 10-15%.

you might like vanillaos or bazzite. vanillaos is an immutable distro like bazzite but based on debian. makes maintenance easier. i personally prefer bootc compatible distros because it makes distrohopping easier, but immutable distros in general are good for helping users abandon ship if a project becomes problematic.
