At least they were used incorrectly to be just as unpredictable.
I grew up on the lower end of middle class. Govnment cheese grilled cheese sammies is definitely something I loved eating as a kid. This forced us to be industrious. My parents gardening, did their own DIY home improvements, woodworking, hunting, and more. They weren’t survivalists because of some doomsday shit, but lived this way because we couldn’t afford not to if we wanted to live in a house in a big city suburb in the late 80s & 90s. Over time, my mother took on work utilizing the skills she gained doing the stuff for ourselves and we slowly climbed out of the near poverty life and I was able to have nice things in my teens.
I’m now doing well for myself, solidly middle class in this economy and region. But as things are shifting like crazy around us, I just decided to turn my yard into a garden so I can at least feed myself fresh food if shit becomes unavailable or unsafe to eat. If I have to start hunting again, I will.
I’m not panicking, I’m just going to control what I can, and will do my best to have a good life, and will fight for everybody else to have a chance at a good life too.
Fun fact: Many cultural artificats do go on tour!
For example I’ve seen both Pompeii & King Tutt exhibits in San Diego that have since rotated. I’ve also seen other traveling exhibits in several other major cities I’ve lived in that were far more than art.
Many cities also have free admission days to museums for people that live nearby (depends on the institution but it could be for City/County/State).
With this knowledge, you too, can now learn and explore societies that predate written word.
Or create leaf mold (a pile of sticks and leaves) in targeted areas of your yard/property that are ideal for breeding fireflies and other desired native insects/spiders. Especially if you live in an HOA community that requires reqular raking and can hide the leaves under bushes/shrubs/trees/garden beds as mulch.
Raking of leaves isn’t really the problem so much as is the complete removal of leaves from the property & neighborhood (which also removes the nutrients from the local top soil).
No credit IS bad credit.
You don’t have to carry debt to have a credit history, but you do have to use credit to have a credit history. If you haven’t used the system, they have no knowledge of your crdit worthiness.
I use credit cards as a tool to protect my finances and purchases (fraud protection is greater with CCs than a bank account/card, as well as being able to dispute transactions where service was failed to be delivered or inadequate). I also always pay off my statement balance in full every month.
I do my best to only buy things I can afford to pay in full, but a home and automobile can be exceptions to that (even though I bought my auto in full due to a financial windfall). But I still participate in the system to gain the benefits of the system
www.nerdwallet.com is a great resource on credit education and provides a wealth of tools for starting build your bad credit to good credit.
I snorted my coffee reading this.
A secret service officer, trying to explain the general confusion, just sighed. “Nobody knows what’s going on.”
Don TACO & the Ketamine Kid.
It does. In the form of taxes & donations.
As a former permastuff allergy sufferer, I can’t recommend enough trying out triamcinolone (nasacort). I had tried nasal sprays in the 90s and early 2000s without any luck. About 5 or so years ago, my allergist recommend I give it a try again as a lot of formulas have come around since then and could work for me now. I couldn’t believe it, no more permastuffed and there’s smells everywhere. Learned that I love the smell of star jasmine flowers.
For me, a puff in each nostril in the morning and another puff as needed when blowing my nose doesn’t suffice (which is rare) has turned this perma-stuffed allergy sufferer into a not-perma-stuffed person.
Nah, just your typical PhD paleontologist dinosaur nerd. The times they showed that side of Ross was probabaly some of the most realistic moments in the show.
Note: It’s Ukraine, not “the Ukraine”.
Calling it “the Ukraine” is Russian propaganda.

I hate myself for this.
I’d prefer it to be Alan Rickman.
Only because it’d be hilarious to see a Muppet John McClane carrying around that giant ass teddy bear and doing the vent scene with a match, “Come out to the coast! we’ll get together, have a few laughs…”.
Don’t worry, TACO!
No, what you’re having happen to you is called censured.
We don’t care if you’re a bigot and have those beliefs. But we are going to tell you that your beliefs are repulsive and not welcome in our society when you are being an asshole to real, live, human beings.
You do not get to antogonize and cause harm to people because you’re concerned that somebody’s outward appearance and gender role expression doesn’t conform to your belief that somebody’s genitals dictate their outward appearance and gender role expression.
And before you go off with, “So much for being tolerant of my beliefs!”.
Tolerance is about preventing harm being committed onto others. Tolerance can not condone intolerance being committed against others. Intolerance always leads to harm being committed against others. Tolerance, by definition, cannot be tolerant of intolerance without becoming intolerant itself.
For example:
Me allowing you to openly critize my friends in the trans community without stepping in and telling you, “You’re a bigot and your behavior is not welcome here.” will lead to your behavior harming them by implicit acceptance of your behavior.
So, with kindest regards.
What is there to criticize about transgenderism?
With the charged language and dog whistles I see in your post here (and even more in your post history), I’m going to assume no. Bigotry isn’t a good look.
If you want to have a real discussion about transgenderism first, stop with the charged language and dog whistles, it makes you look like an insincere bigot. Second, I’d suggest the same thing that every oppressed group has said. Listen to the marginalized people, their struggles, their life. Read the articles they share with eachother. Read the books they share. Read the science they share. Then, if you have questions, ask for clarification.
I’ve noticed that some of the best enuciators are people that have a lisp and have obviously either taken speech classes or have self taught themselves how to overcome their lisp with better enuciation.
There’s been a push in higher education and professional markets for a STEAM education paradigm over STEM. Especially when you consider that there’s a ton of crossover between tradition STEM education and arts in modern day professionals (User Experience relies on all 5 domains for delivering truly great UX for example).
