I’ve tried a few times and always go back to gboard. I loathe giving info to Google, but nothing else comes close with swipe typing. It takes 10 times longer to type anything using other keyboards.

BOHHH HO HO HO

The Buffalo Hunter Hunter is bloody fantastic. I love Stephen Graham Jones’ work.
My dad’s a retired civil engineer and I got to see how all this worked when he did one back in the day. I got to see the individual sections being built and then got to walk through the tunnel after the sections had been connected and before they were ready for traffic.

It’s a cute movie about little boys refusing to speak because their parents won’t let them watch the neighbor’s TV. Set in a suburban Tokyo neighborhood in post-war Japan.

There’s a Columbian place like this near me. While waiting on my order, the abuelitas will hand me stuff to try. They barely speak English and I barely speak Spanish.
I probably would not have been too keen to try a tequeyoyo if I knew it was a fried cheese stick with sweet plantains, but I couldn’t turn down free food from the nice abuelita.
Now I always have to bring home a few.

To be fair, the he last time I was daily driving Linux was probably 20 years ago. I only came back in the last ~2 years.

I was surprised how well it handles printers. We have an old Brother wireless laser mfp. It was pretty cool when it just saw the printer automatically, but I was really impressed with how easy scanning was.
I started going down the rabbit hole of manually installing and configuring it, but then tested some simple terminal command and it already saw the scanner. Ran skanpage and Bob’s your uncle.

MIL does something similar. I think she does hers at 500F for x minutes per pound, then shuts off the oven and let’s the residual heat cook it through and pulls it right before temp.
100% agree. I’ve seen him at least 10 times now and he always makes it unique. He talks about the songs, he engages with the audience, and tries new things.
Last show of his that I saw was a paper airplane show where people threw requests on stage via paper airplane.
He did one back when chat roulette was big and he streamed the show on there and projected the video onto a big screen behind him. We saw far fewer penises than you’d expect and he composed songs on the fly for chatters who stuck around.

So are bananas.

I remember enjoying The Shadows of the Apt when I read them years ago. Couldn’t tell you anything about them now other then it’s a fantasy series with bug-based races.
I agree with others here. His misses are good enough to finish and his hits are too good to put down. Shroud was my book of the year.

The Batman Forever soundtrack was a pivotal album of my formative years. Sunny Day Real Estate, Mazzy Star, Method Man, The Flaming Lips, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Michael Hutchence’s Iggy Pop cover. All bangers.

I just finished D:OS2 (again) last night. Perfect timing.

There was a fun article yesterday about a guy dealing with the Monotype shakedown.
I can’t figure out how to strip this weird Voyager url handler to the Lemmy post, so here’s the actual post

I had a guy “quick call?” me, screen share my email and read his written response aloud to me before sending. I was speechless.

A search on “amd pstate -19” didn’t return any bazzite specific answers but have me a few hits on other distros like Arch and Cachy.
General consensus looks like upgrade or downgrade your BIOS.

I have a older relative whose shingles affected his nervous system and it led to encephalitis.
I wonder if she has natural remedies for that.
