strawberry@artemis.campto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are there any green alternatives to asphalt in development?73·2 years agodunno if I’d call it decent. bumps will wear out suspension components prematurely, meaning they’ll have to be replaced more often. so more metal and rubber being produced. is it enough to make brick not worth it? idk. also worth noting that asphalt is far grippier than brick. more grip = safer

strawberry@artemis.campOPto PC Master Race@lemmy.world•what sort of budget do I need to run 1440p @120+fps for the next five years1·2 years agodon’t need max, just high. rt doesn’t matter. are you saying that a cheaper card like a 7800xt couldn’t do 1440p 120? or is the issue more with longevity, that it won’t be able to maintain this kind of performance for the next 5 years due to games being more demanding
strawberry@artemis.campto Technology@lemmy.ml•Microsoft might want to be making Windows 12 a subscription OS, suggests leak1·2 years agoidk, I’ve never been able to make it work well. always some issues with drivers. imma blame it on dell putting some shitty proprietary hardware that no ones written drivers for yet?
I’ll try again when I build a new PC without any proprietary hardware

while I personally quite like material you, I do think it would be neat to be able to create your own palette independent of wallpaper
because yeah, some wallpapers make the background of stuff shit green and eyewateringly vibrant orange for accents
how come? for me, it makes things clearer. I know the big shiny button is accept, grey one is decline. that way I don’t have to read to accept or decline
the fact that I immediately unfocused my eyes
