Now that e-ink displays are becoming good i really hope digital notebooks take off, like smartphones without the smart and waaaaaaay longer battery life.
There are some examples that seem good already (boox and ReMarkable), sadly they’re pretty expensive.
Ideally they should be the best of TI calculators, old commodore-style computers, and a piece of paper, all brought together in a light and cheap device that needs to be charged once per month at most.
I see your point and hope that you’re finding a good digital notebook soon! I always liked the e-ink displays, they are so energy efficient.
Like I said, I’m going the analog way for now, with paper, fountain pen and ink. It helps me to
Gather my mind and feeling the pen gliding over the paper has almost something meditative.
For longer stuff nothing beats a PC with a good keyboard tho.
