Why is there a kid dressed as the Easter Bunny?
And who are the other added kids?

Ralphie is the easter bunny kid. He’s the main character in A Christmas Story. The other kids are his friends. one gets his tongue stuck to a frozen pole.

Never heard of it before, I don’t think that film is a thing over here in Germany at all (other than e.g. Home Alone and Die Hard).

Also a classic in Canada because many of the movie scenes were shot in St Catherines, Ontario and around Toronto, Ontario.

Sounds interesting, I will try to find a German synchro somewhere…

Until then I will be watching “Drei Nüsse für Aschenbrödel” with my daughter.
That’s the most iconic traditional German Christmas watch.
            It’s an interpretation of Cinderella.

I am prepared to watch it with my critical thinking activated.
After all it seems to be about a 9 year old getting an freaking entry level gun for Christmas.
We will take it with the appropriate grains of salt anyway, but thanks for the additional warning…

To be fair, it’s a BB gun, which are tiny metal pellets that, while possibly painful, usually aren’t super lethal and are not a useful instrument in a “good ol’ traditional” American mass shooting. They’re more often used on tin cans than flesh. A few sociopathic kids might use them to torture birds, though.

Maybe they contribute to our dangerous gun culture by getting kids involved early, but getting an older kid a BB gun isn’t as weird or comically American as it sounds in and of itself.
