Im not interested in reading the article but i would assume you just keep a bought or rented “weak” computer in your home that relegates all compute intensive stuff to the Mr. Bezos cloud. That way they are in control of all the actual compute power and if you are found to be running “illegal code” (piracy, cracking, non certified machine learning, etc) they can take your compute away.
