Seen a few articles where people have replaced the elastomers in other pedal sets with springs, has anyone done this with Sprints? I’m feeling to do this based on steel springs being more durable than rubber blocks.

Looked into it a little myself, but this isn’t my area and not really sure what id be looking for.

    Thank you.

Aye was a rushed post, I’m looking to do this but not sure what type of springs I should be looking for, so guess the question should have been ‘has anyone done this and what springs did you use’.

I’ve looked around for things like upgrade kits and whatnot without success, so think I’ll have to…you know, buy a spring off eBay… I’ve no idea where to begin.

In this picture I used a valve spring from a 1991 Ford Escort. I’m not sure this is ideal for this purpose, but I had a small pile of them in my parts bin so I figured it was worth a try. Since brake feel in sim-racing seems to be more about personal preference than reality (read some threads on that subject… it’s a rabbit hole) I would guess you’ll need to buy many springs and experiment a bit.

Maybe you could find a local to you industrial or hardware supplier and pick up a few?
