The article recommends to use https://vehicleprivacyreport.com/ to check your vehicle’s privacy issues and they offer to ask your car manufacturer to not sell your data. My question is, would you trust that website to handle your info securely since they ask for your name, email, phone number, and address?

I did already file a Do Not Sell My Information request directly with my car’s manufacturer, and I’m wondering if I need to do it with this site as well.

There is this crazy hack you can use to stop your car from spying on you. First, you get your bike off the rack. Lube the chain, check the tires, make sure they have air in them. Your car? You leave that in the garage. Then, start riding. It can be any where but you would have gone in a car. You don’t have to ride fast. You can go slow. You do whatever you were going to do, ride back, put the bike away, and bam. Your car will have no clue what you’ve done.
