2·3 months ago- Lift - Netflix - total garbage. Like a really bad “oceans 11”
- Ricky Stanicky - Amazon - Dumb humor, but I enjoyed it. John Cena has great comedic timing - that’s probably most of it.
- Shogun - Hulu - Pretty entertaining. It’s 50% culture clash between Japan and a “Barbarian” from London, and 50% warring Japanese clans.
- Bill Burr - Paper Tiger - Netflex standup. The feminism jokes at the beginning already feel dated, but if you stick it out, the latter half is pretty great.
- Halo - Paramount+ - Season 1 was fun, but pretty slow. Season 2 picks up and starts to have a compelling story. I never played the game btw.
- Curb your Enthusiasm - HBO (I’m not calling it Max - no one knows what that is). For me, this continues to be some of the best comedy I’ve ever watched.
- Roadhouse (2024) - Amazon - A fun watch. It’s more a sequel than a remake of the original. The “rich bad guy” was the weakest point.
