This might actually be my favorite scene in DS9, and that’s saying something because DS9 has a lot of good scenes.

This is a fantastic upscale. Laserdisc obviously a great source too. Maybe one day we’ll see some releases…
So I haven’t compared any and I am not sure if you are up to that but there are several fan-made upscales available online for all of DS9, as long as you are willing to sail the high seas.

Something about the 3:4 aspect ratio just pleases me.

Yeah, it might be just slightly higher quality than the broadcasts originally were, but not much.
