    How far do those tungsten balls penetrate into an engine block? I can’t imagine anything is salvageable off those trucks, with the possible exception of the pistons inside the engines.

      they stop in engine block, but go through anything less substantial. these things can drill through leaf spring suspension or turbocharger (at least one way) as shown in an old video with very expressive russian soldier reviewing damage

      Not sure why you’re being downvoted, I’m legitimately curious. Most of this seems like it’s filmed some distance from the actual impact, but the tungsten still seems to pack a punch
