Dems know they won’t win over Republican voters by sliding to the right. It’s just a convenient excuse for what they were naturally inclined to do anyway.

I got a hangover diving into ye olde Kopmala research files for when she was running. I concur - it isn’t better…well maybe up front but I did have a dream about a plane taking off by itself too soon and crashing off the runway. Perhaps an apt metaphor to come.

Let’s face it- there was no one among the pool of Biden replacement candidates that was going to lift a finger to stop the genocide. Some quotes:

Gretchen Whitmer: “We here in Michigan condemn this vile act of terrorism,” she said during an event at a synagogue days after Hamas’s October 7 attack in Israel. “We stand with Israel. And Israel has a right to defend itself.”

In April, Whitmer was asked by CNN whether she supports a permanent ceasefire in Gaza; she skirted the question.

Gavin Newsom: “Despite the horror, what I saw and heard from the people of Israel was a profound sense of resilience. A commitment to community and common purpose, especially in these most difficult of times,” he said in a statement after his trip on October 20. “That’s the Israeli spirit. And it’s also the California spirit.”

Josh Shapiro: In April, he likened pro-Palestinian student protesters to the Ku Klux Klan. The campus protests, however, have been largely peaceful, and student leaders say accusations of anti-Semitism misrepresent their aim: to encourage their universities to divest from Israeli companies linked to the country’s human rights abuses.

“We have to query whether or not we would tolerate this if this were people dressed up in KKK outfits or KKK regalia making comments about people who are African American in our communities,” Shapiro told CNN.

Pete Buttigieg: But months later, he appeared to change his position. Asked whether he would pledge to place conditions on aid to Israel to prevent annexation, he said: “If you’re asking me to commit to withdrawing American support for Israel, the answer is no.”

She could just sit back and disassociate herself from everything Biden has done but she’s really going to go ahead and tie herself to supporting genocide before the election.

I don’t know how tf people read that title and didn’t immediately drop Harris.

If you raise 81 million in a single day, you got all that money from super pacs. Regular people aren’t feeling you, and even if they did 1 million a day would’ve been incredible.

She’s not for regular people, she’s no different than Biden or Trump.

I’m getting major “emperor has no clothes” vibes from her campaign .

I’m with you. This is political malpractice. They had a unique opportunity to pivot to slightly different rhetoric that might win votes while not obligating them to anything. The undisputed heavyweight champion of meaningless word salad decided that this was the one issue where she needed to be explicit. I guess they’d rather lose than give anyone the impression that public opinion affects policy.

look at how Israel’s politicians talk about Biden for pausing one single shipment of one type of munition while giving them every other thing they want for almost a year. The money wasn’t going to show up if there was any public distancing whatsoever, Zionists require absolute public devotion

Other than the Michigan arabs thing which is definitly material, I tbh dont think enough people care about stuff like this for this to even slightly move the needle. Like sentiment against Israel is growing but I polls show its nowhere near the chief concern. And all this brat meme bullshit has the zoomers that were deflated by Biden back in line.

In addition to being fucking awful, this is indistinguishable from AI. It’s bland, it’s predictable, it’s really round peg in round hole writing. It’s uninspired, lacks showmanship, and reminds me of everything I’ve come to despise about management.

But circling back, shout out to “violence of any kind.” Illiteracy seems like a worthy trade if I never have to read bullshit like that.
