        Exactly, obviously the holocaust was horrific and it’s very reasonable to care about other people even if you have no direct connection. I’ve seen a couple people say things like “why do these student protesters care so much, they aren’t even Palestinian.” It just tells me the people saying this have a different idea of compassion and humanity than others.

      I agree, I’m pointing out how heartless this argument is, you don’t need to be connected to a group to have an emotional response to their suffering.
