SMS alternative - Quik SMS (fork of qksms)
Message alternative - SimpleX
SimpleX doesn’t work offline.
1st - nothing works “offline” (for SMS you need to be connected to the mobile network
2nd - look at my message, I propose you 2 alternatives, one for SMS (to avoid) and one for “main” messages
QKSMS is abandoned, QUIK is a maintained fork.
