It wasn’t rigged. People don’t understand boxing and entertainment. It wasn’t a “real I want to punch this guys head off and kill him” match. It was a boxing match. An entertaining match with 2 people beating each other.
Tyson (old) can’t go the distance anymore. He came out hard but got tired QUICK. Paul was able to eat the abuse and hit back. Paul could have knocked him out, but slowed down and danced around Tyson when Tyson got tired in the later rounds.
They both did it for entertainment and to make money. I’m not sure why anyone is surprised. It went the way many people predicted.
Didn’t watch what’s the deal. They are talking about this all over Lemmy someone want to enlighten me?
It was an overly hyped fight, with months of build up. When the time came, it was underwhelming, boring, and obviously just a show. It was not a competative endevour, but two big names trying to play at boxing without hurting the old man.
Tyson kept biting his glove, which people are saying was a code between the two fighters for Paul to take it easier on Tyson.
I have no idea why people were hyped anyway. These influencer vs. retired pro fights all go the same way.
It was never going to be anything close to great.
I see who won though and besides Tyson I have no clue who the other guy is. He a big name? I don’t follow boxing.
He’s a youtuber
Holy shit he is the brother of the dude who went into Japanese suicide forest and showed a dead body. Man I hope he had better luck not getting the psycho-genes his brother got… the glee in that voice was unsettling.
I don’t know either one well enough to tell them apart. The whole event was just to get new audiences into boxing, but the scripted feel of the fight is sure to upset long standing fans.
Really that fucking nuts and explains why I didn’t know who the asshat is.
Oh good, I thought he was that guy
Yes.
I’d ask for more pixels but that’s pretty much 1:1 the quality it was for me live, so…
Yeah that was my bad. I did look for better pictures, but just googled a couple pictures to combine, but it was surprisingly more difficult than I thought it would be, so I did take the best I could find
