That’s an outdoor cat I saw in Korea. What am I supposed to do? Chase it over the mountains and through the forests like it’s the Korean Civil War?
Are you implying the Korean civil war is not still going on?
Well there’s most certainly no raids or skirmishes occurring throughout the mountains like there used to be 60 years ago
That’s what they want you to think
Well that’s what some members of my korean family tells me who used to do secret squirrel shit in the ROK military have told me.
Well my dad works at nintendo and he tells me nintendo is a front for the imperial japanese army and he tells me that it’s still going on.
/g Hope your family is doing well. Can you tell any secret squirrel shit stories?
It’s all doxxable so I’ll just tell you some public knowledge secret squirrel shit from Korea. The revolt and eventually execution of the Silmido Unit, a suicide squad commando team the south Korean military dictatorship created in around '68 for the purpose of infiltrating the DPRK disguised as north Korean soldiers and assassinating Kim Il-Sung.
The men composing unit 684 were recruited with promises of poverty excaping wealth or flat out conscripted from the bottom most rungs of the proletariat and were put through cruel and unusual training to “bring them to operational readiness”. After the death of a handful of their brothers-at-arms by the hands of the torturer-instructors and barely livable conditions, they would be told their mission was canceled as relations between the brother countries thawed. But due to the nature of their mission, the south government would refuse to release them from their service on the grounds that they could leak their secret mission and destroy the just-forged fragile diplomatic relationship the south had achieved with the north. After being told they would be permanently detained on Silmido island with no chance of seeing their family again and faces with continually degrading living conditions, the surviving soldiers of 684 revolted and killed all their instructors and attempted to launch an operation to assault the blue house and capture president-dictator Park Chung-hee to hold as hostage to negotiate their release and reintegration into society.
They would engage security forces and police units during their mad dash to the blue house, culminating in their hijacking of a bus which would unfortunately “explode” and kill all but four of them. The surviving four would shortly be put through a secret kangaroo court that would convict, execute, bury, and erase their existence. Their existence would be suppressed until 2004 when a Korean action-drama movie called “Silmido” brought their nebulous story to the forefront of South Korean consciousness. Of course the story’s a dramatization and fairly inaccurate, but its impact would lead to the ROK military to declassify the unit’s existence and apologize for their actions in suppressing them.
Wow, that’s crazy. Is the movie any good?
Dunno I don’t really watch movies. Browsing it’s plot on wiki makes it seem a bit more low brow than reality.
