Around the fediverse, any time a bizarre unit of measurement is used, the inevitable comment is something along the lines of “Americans will use anything but metric.”
Well, we gotta compile these bizarre units, so that Americans can make an informed decision on what measurement system (other than metric) to use!

Metric has been required on all US federal contracts since, what, the 30s?
But, sure, make fun of the States, the general population, and the corporations who dont have federal contracts.
Its their fault because all US Americans learn metric in school.
It’s a joke. Hell, I’m American, I just find this incredibly funny.
