Scientist: don’t anthropomorphise this
Journalist: noted but that won’t stop me
I mean, we were all thinking it. Putting the warning to stop us from doing so seriously while still indulging the joke was the right way to go.
This is related to big pickup trucks too.
And super loud cars and bikes
As someone who drives a subcompact car, I can get behind this.
But if I ever buy a truck we’ll have some words.
I’m willing to bet that most people who roll coal fit into this category. Loud muscle cars and ridiculously loud Harleys too. Anything to get attention, especially if it makes them feel like they’ve got a big fat… wallet. Yeah let’s go with wallet.
And BMWs
This also applies to political communities on Lemmy.
Now do the same study but with human males and cars.
Well as they say… speak softly and carry a massive dong
I could have guessed this. In my own observations, the same thing is true with larger primates as well.
Shout out to my outlier small-balled chill primate dudes in my life.
…
Aren’t human beings also just primates too? I think this’d apply to us as well.
Huh, I guess that’s why I’m quiet all the time.
Very interesting! Cross-posted to !digitalbioacoustics@lemmy.world
