Am I getting this right, they’re letting you do the ad targeting for them and they’re selling it as a privacy feature?
“But they can only see you’re interested in a selection of broad topics!!”
Is supposed to be the big selling point here, apparently
Also lol at this bit about site suggested ads:
“You can block the sites you don’t want in the settings”
Okay, how about all of them
Firefox mobile + ublock origin for easy no ad life
You can put ublock on firefox mobile?
Holy shit it has addons, didnt know.
There is currently a very limited (but good) selection of supported addons for mobile, but afaik they are about to publish a version with full support for them
Bromite is like a cousin to Vanadium and GrapheneOS advises againsr using Firefox so I’ll trust their word on it for the time being, but I miss my add-ons. On desktop I want to use Firefox, but qutebrowser is chromium based and there are no Firefox forks that are keyboard driven, only extensions that shit out if a webpage fails to load because Firefox restricts add-ons too much for that to be viable.
Mull is like the Librewolf version of Firefox on Android. If you follow some instructions and use a Firefox account, you can get desktop add-ons installed on Android - fantastic for LibRedirect alone, so much easier to browse game wikis when Fandom wikis are redirected to BreezeWiki.
Use Firefox, Liberal.
