How about … “Me and the boys”?
You’ll have people arguing two hundred years later if women are technically members of the generic plural ‘boys’.
After two hundred years, I don’t think it would be a debate about sexuality … it would be a debate as to whether or not women or females were technically entitled the same rights as males. Even with the way it was written in real life, it took over a hundred years before they recognized women properly and it also took time to recognize people of colour.
The descriptor ‘people’ means many things to many people in many different times throughout history.

Me and the boys of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Sounds more accurate to history in my opinion.
