Workers at a Whole Foods Market in Pennsylvania have voted to unionize, becoming the first group of employees to pull off a labor win at the Amazon-owned grocery store chain.
i will never understand why these companies go for such piddly insulting gifts, they could do free pizza fridays for the rest of eternity and they’d lose more money from a middle manager spending 5 minutes extra on the toilet once.
for the company equivalent of a paperclip and some pocket lint, they could genuinely make workers feel like unionizing is the worse value and actually want to go to work, yet for some reason they just… don’t do that…
(A) Snacks won’t pay my rent. (B) I’m sure they’re whatever snacks Amazon could get at the cheapest wholesale prices.
