giants know all this stuff but just never thought to tell anyone?

I’m assuming that this is how the Ohara folks were able to decipher so much about the Ancient Kingdom (and why Elbaph was chosen as a safe place for their research). I’m guessing part of Elbaph’s isolation is done by the WG to prevent people from traveling there.
