Are we keeping/wanting TenForward as “just” a ST meme comm, or do you guys want articles/video type content as well?

As far as non-.ml ST comms go, I feel like TF is the most active and the articles I have posted here have had some moderate uptake, is that something I should post more of here or should I direct those to more “formal” ST comms like !startrek@lemmy.world?

This community is technically for any/all Trek related content. Memes do account for the vast majority.

There is https://lemmy.world/c/startrek@lemmy.world, which is only for articles/discussions (but not memes). That comm has about 1.3k subscribers (compared to 4.2k here). That community doesn’t see a huge amount of posts. More would be nice.

I’d say post here and crosspost there, and get slightly different audiences/vibes. See how it goes.

I’d like all forms of content. Memes, jokes, news, articles, discussions, etc.

I like both but I’m more likely to comment actively on ones that fit the general tone of TF. Like an article about how O’Brien is a bad-ass fascist fighter and union man is one I’ll engage with until the Morns come home.

Looking at the „about“ section, I don‘t see why not.

Personally I like a bit of diversity in the type of content. While I like memes, the stuff, that keeps me reading has to go deeper into a topic.
