It’s always the ones who insist that marriage is “a special, God-given union between one man and one woman” that forget how to count.

The Daily Mail has published an explosive report that South Dakota governor Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski, a former Donald Trump aide, have been having a secret affair “for years”—at least since 2019. Noem’s spokesperson told the tabloid, “This is so predictable that you would attack Governor Noem less than a week after she endorsed Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States.” Neither have denied the Daily Mail’s reporting, and Vanity Fair has reached out to both of them for further comment.

A “family values” Republican, Noem has three children with her husband, Bryon. They’ve been married for over 30 years. Lewandowski married his wife, Alison, in 2005, and they have four children.

We’re talking about the Governor who is married with children and a right wing nutjob Christian who is yelling Christian family values. It’s SNL material. The embarrassed husband, the unfaithful wife, the crying children and the sleazy trump enabler. I mean they’re consenting adults, but eEewwww

I honestly wouldn’t care if they didn’t all pretend to be sanctimonious, pious Christians who moralize for the good of the nation.

The Daily Mail has published an explosive report

Has this been confirmed independently? As much as I love a little schadenfreude, the Daily Mail isn’t a real news source. It’s barely credible as a tabloid gossip rag.

Ordinarily you’d be right, but the fact that they are attacking the reporters instead of denying the report confirms it IMO. It’s been particularly common these last several years for a reporter to ask a conservative a question about a story, publish the denial, and then publish evidence showing that the story is true and the person lied about it (look no farther than BoBo getting kicked out of a theater this week).

It’s a good thing it wasn’t a gay affair because that would have made it a problem.

I’m a bit skeptical. The source for this is The Daily Mail, which is little more than a tabloid, and their evidence for this is that they were in the same places on business trips and that their spokespeople didn’t deny it.

I love that the Vanity Fair article title just calls Cory Lewandowski “Trump Creep”. It’s a completely accurate description, though by no means exclusive to him.
