it is truly sad how often a constantly-online anarchist sounds like a liberal. at least outside of hexbear. i feel like i never have that issue with commies/socialists.
As someone whose affinity group irl is mostly anarchists, I feel like anarchists on Twitter are just significantly more centrist than anarchists irl
anarchists with social skills arent running around in public screaming “tankies!!1” while everyone ignores them.
I know a bunch of anarchists IRL and they only slightly rib me and take some ribbing back about our ideological differences. It’s more fun to talk about destroying our shared enemies and admitting just going with what works is the best strategy, not being too ideologically pure.
