I don’t understand why I would need that. Can’t you just run any release through a normally installed version of wine?
I’ve seen it usually works well.
I believe you do have to change the slashes in the checksum files and run
wine setup.exein the folder, after that it should have a desktop shortcut just like on Windows. You should also be able to add it as installed game to Lutris.Take it with a grain of salt, I haven’t tried it myself, though.

Weird. I have yet to encounter a game that wine-ge couldn’t handle out of the box.
wine-ge is patched wine which includes many patches proton has that make games work (well).
Also, the developer of wine-ge no longer has their focus on it, because UMU [1] makes it possible to use proton(-ge) directly. UMU is already included in Lutris, Bottles & Co., or you can use it standalone [1].

Where do you get torrents these days? I’ve not been doing much game piracy for nearly a decade, and TPB seems to be a shell of what it once was.
You can download pre installed from Anker games. Then just add it through wine or proton and you are good to go buddy!
Hadnt heard of this one so i did a search but anker games (dot) my is the first one that came up and looked sketchy, so i checked fmhy and they link to ankergames (dot) net, so i assume thats the reliable one just fyi.

If it’s the repacker I’m thinking of (JC), he makes it so complicated for no reason. Was that the case again here or was it someone else? I’d rather just use Lutris than his releases.

I’ve never had one single game working from JC.
On the other hand, almost any fitgirl or dodi release works just fine, or at least as well as I’d expect from the steam release.
Yeah, I had one working at some point but the others didn’t work out. It really does seem like Wine GE is where it’s at for me, it just works like 99% of the time no matter who the repacker is.
Are you on debian? I heard the recommended distro is arch.
That’s the other issue. It’s impractical to always use Arch.
My main use case for pirated games is steam deck or a Bazzite based machine. Trying to get dwarfs on these systems is a pain I’m not willing to struggle through. Not when I can load up a fitgirl repack in a Bottle and have it installed 5 minutes later.
Even on my workstation, which is arch, I can get another repack going easily without needing to install dwarfs from the aur.
JC’s repacks might be good, but they’re a hassle that requires a new workflow to setup.

That is the point. You can just install any repack with wine. What is the meaning of hosting a seedbox and repacking selective games? I read this from the admin
They are a hassle yes but the end result is good from my experience.
Good stuff. Important for people who want to play the game but don’t want to give money to Bethesda and, by extension, their genocide-complicit parent company, Microsoft.
The game was too memorable for me, dropped it quick. The same thing happened when I tried the Dead Space remaster.
There’s $140 saved. I miss demos, well, besides the indie scene embracing them I mean.
