Spaniards turn water guns on visitors in Barcelona and Mallorca to protest mass tourism

Water guns are back squirting at unsuspecting tourists in Barcelona. About a thousand Spaniards marched to demand a rethink of an economic model they believe is fueling a housing crunch and erasing the character of their city on Sunday.

It’s not just Airbnb and the likes. Restaurants become more expensive. Shops change to accommodate the needs of people who don’t live there.

Additionally, it creates mostly low qualification jobs and the profits go to large chains who own restaurants, hotels, etc.

So woke Airbnb is a plague, it’s not just that.
