The block is only a DNS block, so useless anyway.

Also, it was initiated by the CUII, a private org working with german ISPs to theoretically block sites that infringe on copyright. Actually, they sometimes block unrelated and innocent sites, sites that don’t exist anymore or are in new ownership now. It’s a shit show. Also, they don’t publish the blocks explicitly, but someone created cuiiliste.de, where almost all blocks are bruteforced, by comparing what a normal DNS server resolves and what german ISPs resolve, and listed. So essentially, they’ve done nothing except finding out which sites are good for pirating for us, and maneuvering themselves into a tight legal spot.
