    I mean, you kid, but in most democracies that’s literally how it works. If the government can’t pass something essential like a funding bill you get to elect a new government.

      Yes, the positions are this:

      Maga wants to fund exactly the levels as before, keeping all the stuff they jammed through in the beginning of the year without any discussion. They used special rules in the beginning of the year to not need 60 votes, so stripped out medical shit.

      Democrats want the health insurance stuff back in, and because they actually have a say right now, are using it.

        If I’m understanding correctly, where it’s currently at is the GOP wants to extend the ACA subsidies for just one year, so that it won’t impact people until right after the midterms, while the Dems want to actually extend the subsidies properly.

      The most crazy is shit is there was motion to continue funding at the current budget for all continuing budget decisions, and the regressives still said no.

    Feed people first. That’s the foundation of a good government. Anything else, and you’re headed in the wrong direction out the gate.
