My condolences. It’s the highest act of love to let them escape pain even when it hurts you.
Knowing it’s needed didn’t make it any easier.
But only bright spot today was not hearing her fall down when going outside or going down stairs
Sorry for your loss, four legged friends are the best and it leaves a hole in you when they go. Next month will be a year since I lost my cat and best friend in the whole world.

we buried a beloved cat a couple weeks ago. I put him under a ninebark shrub in honour of his many lives
We put her next to another family dog she knew in a spot under some trees she would have loved being under.
