Wait, is Kodi a fork then? I thought it was just a name change.
holy fuck this makes me feel old. so xmbc eventually became kodi as they expanded from being for the og xbox.
The git repo is still xbmc but they have pics from Kodi so now I’m double confused lol.
If I understood that post correctly, Kodi is the one that runs on modern hardware while XBMC, which hadn’t been updated in a long time, is the one that runs on the original Xbox.
That’s sort of what I was thinking after I made my comment. So it’s sort of an upstream update, separate from Kodi.
