Like I actually want to pick the bourgeoisie’s brains on this.

“If you think you’re so much better than everyone else? Where the hell did your high expectations of the poor come from? You expect all workers to be world-class masters and to happily give you exceptional work of a master and expect nothing in return or a break from it solely because work is ‘the right thing to do’. How did you assume everyone is so hyper-competent but still consider yourself their superior?”

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

“In Zhangzhuangcun, in the more thoroughly reformed north of the country, most “landlords” and “rich peasants” had lost all their land and often their lives or had fled. All formerly landless workers had received land, which eliminated this category altogether. As a result, “middling peasants,” who now accounted for 90 percent of the village population, owned 90.8 percent of the land, as close to perfect equality as one could possibly hope for.”

Us younger people really need to start cashing in on our bragging rights.

“You spoiled boomers! Today’s my day and here, we count ourselves privileged if the rich even want us to work for them! Rent’s a luxury and all we work for is the satisfaction of a job well done and we keep on trucking! Social security? Retirement? That’s cute!”

Transcription (consider throwing this in the alt-text!):

A pink slip that reads: EMPLOYEE ATTITUDES: We don’t expect our staff members to work with a “I’m just here for the money” mindset. -Management team. Beneath it is a handwritten note on lined paper: THERE IS LITERALLY NO OTHER REASON WHY WE’D BE HERE

Guarantee this job also barely pays. I cant even place reasonable expectations in employers like paying a living wage or not breaking labor codes as often as they can get away with but they think they get to dictate how we feel

Theres another problem here, doesn’t this imply the management shares this mindset? What kind of perverted freak would show up to a office management function not for money but for the love of the game?

The pink sign certainly doesn’t set the tone for enthusiasm and gaiety if that was its intended outcome.
