I believe in both. I think that law enforcement that isn’t crooked is possible, but capitalist systems inherently preclude it, and in pretty much every jurisdiction on Turtle Island for sure, and probably the rest of the Western world, reform isn’t a solution and it would be necessary to tear the whole system down and start over.
But left-liberals who at least believe in both of these statements and seek reforms that would curb the worst of the system’s failures, do exist and are a definite improvement over your average liberal who just believes the first one and doesn’t understand at all why so many cops are crooked.
