Would it be a bad idea to use an FTN.5 Rimfire can for 32ACP or should I just step it up to the FTN.5 PCC can instead? The pressures for 32 don’t look that much different than 22LR but maybe there is something I’m missing.
Yes, the main issue would be that the bore size of the FTN rimfire is too small to fit a .32acp. Even if it would fit I wouldn’t trust it. I’d look at the OP9 first, out of simplicity. If you want better noise suppression, then you can look at the FTN5 pcc/pistol.
I also vouch for the OP9. Works and looks great on my ppk. If OP is trying to put in on the vz-61 someone made a ftn3 derivative that threads onto a barrel sleeve. Still waiting on my paperwork to clear to print that one.
Is your ppk a Fort Smith SD model? What did you use for attaching to the threads?

It came with the thread adapter
Yeah I might be misunderstanding, just new to suppressors so I don’t even know what thread it is and what device if any I may need to attach to. Are you using the knurled thread protector as a heat set insert?
It’s 1/2 x28 for the ppk. The op9A uses an aluminum adapter for 1/2x28 to 5/8x24. Which is the printed threads of the can. It can also be fully printed in the OP9 or OP9-P
Check out the documentation.
Haha the old rtfm, suppose I should’ve done that. Thanks for the help!
Btw was your safety/decocker ridiculously stiff?
When it was brand new but it’s fine now.
The bore on the Rimfire can is actually 0.32” and a 32acp is 0.312”. I figured if I did this, I would just oversize the bore by adding a 0.35” negative cylinder to the bore.
The issue you’ll be facing is how perfect your concentricity will be. Anything printed is gonna have some give. You can’t really get that close unless you are making this out of metal on a lathe.
