    Duh. People have been talking about the possibility of this for a looooong time. The article says it’s legally questionable, but I really doubt it. You accept ToS, and that’s a legally binding contract. Whatever the contract holder chooses to do with the information they gather from you is entirely up to them, and you’ve legally forfeited your right to that information. If the buyer happens to be Smash Mattel or whatever his name is, that’s just the way it is. Go fuck yourself.

    Honestly, I had kind of thought that the Feds intentionally ran a psyop for years to convince us to willingly sacrifice our privacy rights and had actively worked behind the scenes to ensure this scenario could come to fruition, but… honestly, if this has only been happening since 2023 then I guess they’re really way dumber than I thought.
