the trans experience, even your trans experience, is more than just dysphoria. the trans pride flag is not representative of celebrating in dysphoria, but instead in the joy that comes with breaking the shackles of society’s expectations of our community members and living a life that is freer than the ones we had before.

I don’t wanna break free of any “gender shackles” personally, I just want to be able to stealth and live a life without unnecessary impediments.

i specifically worded things as i did to make sure i wasn’t dictating to you your experience, but merely asking you to reflect on it. you chose to live free, live your truth, and that’s commendable. it’s true that life hasn’t been easy on you. it hasn’t been easy on any of us. and yet you persist. and yet you live your truth. it’s probably true, yes, that society has taken more from you than it can ever give back. but there’s still something there worth doing, for you. i can’t speak or reflect on what that is or could be. i can only see that it takes a strength that not everyone possesses

I’m vexillologically challenged, so to me this could just as well be the flag of Transnistria. As far as I know the people there aren’t particularly happy.
