From what I’ve heard, You Should Have Left has some similarities to House of Leaves

The Backrooms was a creepypasta just like scp, so an apt comparison for sure.

SCP was kinda my entrypoint into creepypasta, so I appreciate the clarification. Wouldn’t have known there was a prior inspiration to it.
Both started as a story attached to a creepy image on 4chan. For the Backrooms it really got popularised by a guy on youtube making videos turning it into a further scary story. That same guy on youtube is directing the A24 movie which is pretty epic
