Assuming the “Pythagoras” reference was unintentional (just a famous mathematician pulled out of a hat) makes this even funnier given Pythagoras was a notable proto-vegan:

As long as Man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.

Wait did Pythagoras even know about zero? Like iirc he’s wayy before standard numerals and zero didn’t start becoming mainstream in the west ‘till long after that right?

(Speaking of, it always blows my mind that someone was able to give a proof of the irrationality of the square root of 2 without even using numbers)

Well according to oxford 3rd century is the earliest known mention (reference found in India. This is well after Pythagoras’ life (approx 500BC, ref)

And finally, zero arrived in the 13th centruy for the west: reference

Also twice as much as an average meat eater would only make up for one vegan. He would have to eat millions of times the amount to make up for all the vegans.
