Well educated users? No way this is like Quora, Quora is just rebranded Yahoo answers.
I think Quora on average has dumber comments and posts than any other social media site.
It’s people who think they are smarter than everyone else answering questions after 2 minutes of skimming a wikipedia article. You get that elsewhere, but only Quora has those people as their core userbase.
It’s amazing to check Quora if you have a spare hazmat suit lying around

That mention about Zhihu is interesting, since nowadays they tend to be mostly liberals who will label others “pinko” if any user praises the PRC lol.
They’re commonly referred to as “public intellectuals” and they share the exact same pro-western smug moral superiority complex that other liberals around the world share.
Perhaps OOP was well aware of that nuance, that the website has a heavy liberal inclination; but not feeling particularly discussive, didn’t choose to mention that. After all, any talk of the educated in the AES leaning towards liberalism and the west only encourages westerners to be more anti-AES.
I’m sure some people see this as “evidence” that the Chinese are inhuman slaves for thinking their great oppresor was actually a decent leader.
