      There’s levels to prepping. You can do some basic preparations that drastically increase your chances of survival without going all the way to bunkers with years of food in them and alternate locations. Having a couple days of canned/dried food and water, and a backpack ready in a closet with basic survival gear is very minimal preparation and could save your life in an emergency. It is quite sensible.

      If you have the space it’s easy to start stocking up. Next time you’re shopping buy 2 or 3 instead of 1. You’re going to use it anyways and most packaged items will last at least a year on the shelf.

      There are left wing versions of preppers. They tend to focus on building social structures to help each other. The right wing version is about your own hidy hole.
