I say it should be a general rule on the grad: no screenshots of articles outside of meme/humorous communities. Everywhere else you must provide a link to the article (preferably an archived link).
I don’t know if we need something as strict as a rule yet, but we certainly should foster a social expectation on this platform that the polite and proper thing to do is to include links.
Should this perhaps be made a rule? That sources be linked for images of news articles or posts removed? I have seen a few like this come up with people asking for sources or commenting on the lack thereof?
It would be better if you linked the article. Just a screenshot of it is not very helpful.
Agreed, including a link should be standard practice when posting articles to avoid inadvertently spreading misinformation.
