“A man’s ability may be great or small, but if he has this spirit [of selflessness], he is already noble-minded and pure, a man of moral integrity and above vulgar interests, a man who is of value to the people.”

  • Le bad faitherino!!1!

Why does it matter the “faith” it has? The video is there, and it is not edited. You can think the post has one or another goal but the truth is that this what the news portray has happened. You on the other side keep insisting on the “russian propaganda” meme and saying that what has been said is not what it has been translated as while failing to even provide an alternate translation, so either you do it or you can keep schizo-ranting about the “russian propagandists” that are crawling inside your walls.

  • The fact that any opinion that dissents from the mainstream western political discourse is branded as “propaganda” by people the likes of you demonstrates the virulently xenophobic paranoia that plagues the west (and always has). You are too daft to understand that the person you are talking about is a communist, and his posts reflect his ideas, not the paid interests of a foreign power, the same way it would be idiotic to call you a Ukrainian propagandist for excusing the unapologetic racism of its government officials.

  • The idea of America is that everyone is created equal and deserves to be treated equally and that we are forever a Nation of possibilities.

If you search “anti-[any nationality] sentiment” in wikipedia there is a high chance that the USA is listed between the countries where such existed, with many cases including federal laws and executive orders from the government of the USA itself aimed against them. Who in their right mind can take a look at the history of how the US has treated any people coming from abroad and still believe it to be “the land of opportunity”?

  • I said it a few times before and I will do it again as many times as it is needed: do not watch streamers nor youtubers. Just because someone has a camera, a computer and enough luck to be pushed into fame by an algorithm it does not mean that their opinions are worth listening to, much less does it mean that they are any educated on anything they may be talking about.

Even if whoever it is that you are watching is the strictest ML person in the planet, it is always best to just read the theory from its source. The only thing of worth that can be taken from a streamer is if they share reading recommendations with their viewers, but as far as I have seen this is very rarely the case.

    Edit: grammar.

  • Wouldn’t communism not have a worker’s state anymore? Isn’t productivity kind of just a toxic hold over to be excised once the dictatorship of the proletariat is no longer necessary?

People still need to eat, drink and fulfill their other basic needs. “Productive” here does not mean to produce much of something with the least amount of resources possible, but to contribute to the fulfillment of society’s needs.

Also, what counts as production? Isn’t something produced just anything with a use-value? Isn’t sex technically a thing with a use-value?

No. The commodification of human relationships is one of the worst blights that exists in this world, and whoever aims to prolongue it is an enemy of socialism. As long as one sees human interactions as something to bbe bought and sold, they will be unable to understand what the liberation of the working people entails.

(also, where’s the line between social parasitism and just being disabled? If someone can’t work, wouldn’t that mean that by this framework they deserve to either live without anything except bare necessities, or die from starvation?)

From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs. You are comparing (in a frankly offensive manner) those who cannot work to those who are not willing to work.

  • I am not defending prostitution as an act of liberation?

    Added parenthesis to clarify.

I was defending the abstract idea of someone having sex for reasons besides direct sexual attraction to their partner, not prostitution as we know or in any form our current definition would work with. Like, I don’t think prostitution would even be possible in a communist society, there wouldn’t be any goods or services to really bargain with if everything, including luxuries, was collectively owned

Even if it was possible, it would still imply a form of labor desertion (in other words, social parasitism) by performing and obtaining benefit from an act that brings no productivity to the worker’s state, not to mention that it is still an act of objectification. More on that text of Kollontai that I have linked before.
