Liberty Media Corp., owner of the Formula 1 racing business, is seeking additional funds from the principality of Monaco as part of advanced talks for a new contract to extend the historic car race beyond 2025.

    Hope they disagree over money or some stupid greedy shit, because it’d be great to see the worst and most boring track be replaced by something else.

    I like Monaco, but only because I treat the Saturday as the real race.

    Ideally I’d want the next set of regs to make the cars substantially smaller, though.

      The regulations aren’t final yet but it looks like the cars are going to be smaller. They might get heavier though because of the bigger batteries

    The Monaco GP should be in karts or something, as the current track and regulations combination doesn’t allow for a good race. You can’t deny the history of the track but it’s been boring for a while. Race usually ends in how they qualified.

    Monaco should be a novelty event away from the championship, like goodwood or something.

    Cling onto the history if you want, but recognise it doesn’t fit in the modern F1 era.
